Hoi An Photographer: Vietnam Photo Shoot With Localgrapher

January 19, 2020

Group Photo on beach in Hoi An

Professional photographs are a wonderful lasting reminder of an epic trip and I booked a Hoi An photographer for our recent group trip to preserve the memories. I travelled to Hoi An with a group of 10 other ladies so getting great photos where all of us looked good was no easy feat. It was definitely time to call in the professionals. After doing my research I decided to book through Localgrapher and I was thrilled with the results.

Taiwan SIM Card: Buying & Using A Tourist SIM Card In Taipei

December 23, 2019

Taipei Taoyuan Airport at Sunset

The Taiwan SIM card that I picked up at Taipei airport was one of the savviest purchases of my trip. I used my Far EasTone SIM card in Taipei for four days without a hitch. It was simple, cheap as chips and super convenient. If your current Telco charges exorbitant roaming fees like mine does, you definitely need to get your hands on a tourist SIM card in Taiwan.

Tesalate Beach Towel: Light, Compact, Quick Drying & Perfect For Travel

April 8, 2019

Tesalate Beach Towel

I’m a beach person. Always have been. Most summer weekends during my misspent youth involved lying on Sydney’s Cronulla Beach shooting the breeze with a bunch of mates. The attraction hasn’t waned and as an adult, my travels often take me to exotic beach locations. There a few things every dedicated beach bum needs for a pleasant day at the shore and a great beach towel is at the very top of the list. I figured beach towels were pretty much all the same. Until I discovered Tesalate beach towels. They are a game changer. Tag along as I put my Tesalate beach towel through its paces in Koh Lanta Thailand …

Why I Chose A Metfone Cambodia SIM Card For Travellers

November 18, 2018

Travel Sim Card Cambodia

In the modern world, it’s become expected that you can stay connected regardless of where on this great big planet you happen to be. I mean, what’s the point of being somewhere fab if you can’t upload your stunning pics instantly and let all those back home see just what an awesome time you are having? Even if you’re not. Cos you know not everything on The Gram is accurate right? Of course there are many more noble reasons for staying online. Like getting directions, ordering a ride or using google to fact check to settle an argument. The advent of the smart phone has made it so easy, but unless you have global roaming or are prepared to rely on free WiFi, you’ll need a local SIM card when you head overseas. For our recent trip to Cambodia, it went without saying that we would source a Cambodian SIM card while in town. There are 4 Cambodia SIM card providers and I compared them all before deciding on Metfone Cambodia. Read on to help you choose the best SIM card in Cambodia for you …

How To Get Cut Price Airline Perks With Optiontown

Flights To Fancy: How To Get Cut Price Airline Perks With Optiontown - Plane Window Sunset

As I am typing this I am sitting at Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat airport onboard Vietnam Airlines flight VN773 bound for Sydney. I don’t often write my posts on the go, but I really wanted to capture how I felt ‘in the moment’ before my memory became jaded. Why? Because I’m more that just a little bit pleased with myself that I took a chance and registered for an Optiontown empty seat option all those months ago. I have to admit I was skeptical that it would actually come off, but here I am stretched out across 3 seats in my ‘economy class flat bed’ with a grin a mile wide on my face. The Hubs is doing the same in the row in front and we can hardly believe that we have six seats all to ourselves! If you want to enjoy your next flight with a little more room for a fraction of the cost, read on for all the details …

Why You Need A Peptame Hair Treatment Before You Fly

June 12, 2017

Flights To Fancy: Why You Need Peptame Before Your Next Trip - Magani Pool

I spend an inordinate amount of time trying to tame my wavy hair into stick straight submission. When I’m in Sydney, I go to the hairdresser every week for a wash and blow dry and my trusty straighteners are always in reach. I don’t want that burden when I travel. I still want my hair to look good and be easy to manage (which it is NOT when it is a frizzy tangled mess!), but I don’t want to miss out on the fun by spending precious hours styling. Surely there is a better way? Well there is. Hold on to you hats ladies because Peptame is here! A Peptame hair treatment before you jet off makes managing your locks while travelling a whole lot easier. I tried it before my recent trip to Bali and I’m hooked. Read on for all the details …

Airport Rentals: Bargain Car Hire Around The Globe

October 23, 2016

Fash Packing by SFH: Airport Rentals - Great Ocean Rd

*** Updated February 2020 ***

I love a bargain. Who doesn’t right? While I’ll quite happily drop a grand on a pair of shoes (red soles are my weakness what can I say), when it comes to car hire I am a lot less generous. I’m not a car person. Of course I can appreciate the luxury of a sparkly new beamer as much as the next guy, but I just don’t see the point in paying for unnecessary luxury when the banger will still get you from A to B just fine. So it goes without saying that when it comes to hiring a car I am looking to pay the lowest amount possible and Airport Rentals have helped me to do just that on more than one occasion. Are you down with paying minimal car hire fees? Read on for all the details …

T-Mobile Tourist Plan: The Best $30 I Spent In Hawaii

October 7, 2016

Fash Packing by Sydney Fashion Hunter: T-Mobile Tourist Plan - Phone

I have been to Hawaii many times. My first visit was at 13 with my Mum a billion years ago and I fell in love with the relaxed vibe, beautiful weather, friendly locals, stunning scenery and more recently the shopping. Over the years, I have dropped some serious cash on this tiny island. One visit I’m pretty sure I single-handedly made the Dior assistant’s commission for a month in one short shop. In my defense, we were getting $1.10USD for every Aussie dollar then. This trip we got a lousy 75c which changed the shopping landscape for me dramatically. Of all my purchases, the T-Mobile Tourist plan was by far the most sensible and practical item I have ever purchased in Hawaii. Read on for all the details …
